Giants' draft strategy will take form as major colleges hold pro days this week

Yahoo Sports

The New York Giants will have a busy week as many of the nation's top colleges will conduct their pro days.

Several major colleges will be conducting their pre-draft pro days this week, and many teams, including the New York Giants , will get a closer look at some of the top recruits in the 2026 NFL draft class. The Giants hold the fifth overall selection in the upcoming draft, and, as of right now, there isn't a clear favorite of who they will take with that pick. That can all change this week.

On Monday, LSU and Miami lead the list of schools hosting pro days. The Giants will be particularly interested in LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane and Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa. Those are two positions the team is seeking upgrades for, and both should be in the mix.

On Tuesday, the legions of scouts, executives, and coaches will flock to Notre Dame to see running back Jeremiyah Love. The Giants are said to be considering adding another big name to their backfield this year, and there is no bigger name than Love in this draft. Also conducting pro days on Tuesday: Texas, Cincinnati, and Auburn.

On Wednesday, the focus shifts to Ohio State, where the Giants have been linked to several of their draft-eligible players. Wide receiver Carnell Tate, linebackers Sonny Styles and Arvell Reese, and safety Caleb Downs are all considered Top-10 picks in this draft. Alabama and Arizona will also host pro days on Wednesday.
