Official | Stuttgart duo Angelo Stiller and Chris Führich called up to the German national team replace the injured Aleksander Pavlovic and Felix Nmecha Stuttgart have announced that both Angelo Stiller and Chris Führich have been called up to the German national team. Both Stiller and Führich were initially snubbed by Julian Nagelsmann when the squad was announced on Thursday, despite their form at the MHP Arena, which sees the team currently sit in third in the Bundesliga. However, following the injuries to both Bayern Munich’s Aleksander Pavlovic and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha , the pair have been given call-ups.
Should the Stuttgart players be called up initially? An argument could be made that at least Stiller should have been named in the initial squad when it was announced last week. The midfielder has been a regular in Sebastian Hoeneß’s side and has continued to show that he should be starting in midfield alongside the likes of Aleksander Pavlovic.
However, Nagelsmann has previously stated that he wishes to play Pavlovic’s Bayern teammate Leon Goretzka as a number six, despite his ever-reducing role in Munich. GGFN | Jack Meenan
