All-SEC Georgia OL out for entire spring
The Georgia Bulldogs will be without center Drew Bobo this spring all with five other key contributors.
The Georgia Bulldogs will be without All-SEC center Drew Bobo for spring practice. Bobo is still recovering from a foot/ankle injury he suffered late during the 2025 regular season. Bobo was forced to miss Georgia's last few games of the regular season, the SEC championship and the College Football Playoff.
Georgia was notably less efficient on offense without Bobo. The Bulldogs started Malachi Toliver at center with Bobo out last season. The spring will provide an excellent opportunity for Toliver to get more work at center and for the Bulldogs to have more contingency plans should Bobo miss time in the fall.
The good news is that Bobo is expected to return ahead of the start of fall camp. Georgia head coach Kirby Smart confirmed Bobo's injury status ahead of the start of spring practice. "Drew Bobo will be out for the spring," Smart said.
"He should get back to work sometime over the summer. " Bobo, a second-team All-SEC pick in 2025, started in 11 games for Georgia last season. His leadership and experience is critical for the Georgia offense.
