What time will the Alabama Crimson Tide play Michigan in the Sweet 16 of the 2026 NCAA Tournament? Here's the latest on start time and TV info.

The Alabama Crimson Tide were the last team in the 2026 NCAA Tournament to officially clinch a berth in the Sweet 16. They certainly left no doubt they were one of the most deserving. Latrell Wrightsell scored 24 points by making six of nine shots from 3-point range, Houston Mallette tied a career-high five treys to finish with 15 points, and Alabama blew past Texas Tech for a 90-65 blowout win in the second round of March Madness Sunday night at Benchmark International Arena in Tampa.

The Crimson Tide (25-9) advanced to the Sweet 16 for the fourth year in a row after opening up a 26-point lead in the first half as Alabama started well not just offensively but defensively. They would go up by as many as 34 in the second half, and they made 19 3-pointers. The Tide took their first double-digit lead at 20-9 in the first eight minutes.

Texas Tech (23-11) spent a timeout after Philon sank a step-back 3-pointer with 10:30 to play. Alabama started 6-for-12 from downtown. Philon's second trey of the night was part of a 20-3 Crimson Tide run.

When Aiden Sherrell and Mallette sank back-to-back 3-pointers in the final 1:27 of the half, Alabama had made seven of its last nine from beyond the arc. The Crimson Tide led, 49-25, at halftime. What stood out early on is that Alabama used its size to almost double up the Red Raiders on the glass with a 30-16 edge in rebounds.
