Commanders QB Jayden Daniels gives an update on his health

Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels gave an update on his health ahead of this weekend's flag football event.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was back on the football field this weekend. No, it wasn't for the Commanders . Instead, Daniels participated in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, where he was a co-captain, along with Joe Burrow, on Team Wildcats.

Daniels looked great, throwing the ball, escaping pressure — if that's what you want to call it — and he was even running routes and juking defenders. Daniels not being stationed in the pocket for the entire game had many questioning why the Commanders would even allow him to participate. Fortunately, things were fine.

Daniels looked like his normal explosive self and had some fun. Unfortunately, his team didn't win. Daniels missed 10 games last season, and Washington struggled as a result, going from the NFC Championship Game to 5-12.

He last played in a Week 14 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, where he re-aggravated an elbow injury he suffered several weeks earlier. Ultimately, Daniels probably could have returned late in the season, but it wasn't worth the risk. Last week, Daniels spoke about his health before the Fanatics Flag Football Classic Draft.
