Wisconsin came into the WBIT on a 10-game losing streak but has managed to win back-to-back games, each on an opposite side of the country. It's the Badgers ' first two-game winning streak since January 18-21, and it couldn't have come at a better time. Wisconsin survived a close first-round battle against Oregon State, 62-58, but this one was a different story.
Miami was held to just 15 points at the half, its lowest total of the season. While the team came alive in the third quarter, so did Wisconsin. The Badgers made all seven of their three-point attempts in the third quarter, which helped them pull away.
Things got interesting in the final few minutes due to a few miscues from Wisconsin, but ultimately it was the Badgers who came out on top. Destiny Howell led the way with her 23 points which were a game high. Other players in double figures for the Badgers included Gift Uchenna Oeke and Kyrah Daniels.
