Tribune All-Area girls' basketball team full of winners

2025-26 Tribune All-Area girls' basketball team features a group of winners, boasting a ton of talent on the hardwood.

Winners. That's the best way to describe the five prep girls basketball players honored as first-team choices to the South Bend Tribune's All-Area Team for the 2025-26 campaign. The handful of do-it-all stars did much more than just stuff the stat sheet game in and game out for their respective high school teams.

The five members of our first unit, headlined by Player of the Year Lily Scholl of Northridge, led their teams to a combined record of 100-24 this past season. That mark included two conference titles, four sectional championships and a pair of regional crowns. Junior Scholl is joined on the first team by seniors Laniah Davis of Michigan City Marquette Catholic and Elliana Grubbs of Bremen, and freshmen Jillie Sanderson of Penn and Arianna Rowell of South Bend Saint Joseph. Scholl was sensational at the biggest moments for her squad. The junior led coach Doug Springer's team to a 20-8 mark and Class 4A sectional and regional titles.

Scholl had a career-high 42 points as the Raiders beat No. 4 Warsaw 63-60 in the Goshen Sectional final. She averaged 18.
