ESPN varies things from the way they ran them on Sunday, as we get one game at a time from 11am through 4pm Central time, although with today technically being a work day for most of America, I do understand the idea of giving people one thing to keep an eye on at a time. At 4pm, starting with West Virginia vs Kentucky, we get a game starting every hours through the beginning of South Carolina/USC. After that, we have to wait until 9pm Central for the last game of the day, but that’s more of a byproduct of playing games on campus.

UCLA is the host, so obviously they would like to have their game start at 7pm local time in Los Angeles, and so they do. It is possible that the evening sessions turn into blowout city, since three of the four #1 seeds in the tournament are starting at 5pm or later. We haven’t gotten much in the way of upsets at all in the field to this point (I’m typing this as #4 Oklahoma and #5 Michigan State start the fourth quarter in the second to last game of the day on Sunday) so if that idea holds, the #1 seeds are likely to go a little smashy-smashy in their games.

UConn is the only Big East team left alive in the women’s tournament, so their game against #9 Syracuse is the highlight of the group if you’re looking at things from that point of view. Tipoff is scheduled for 5pm Central time and ESPN’s got the broadcast. Here’s your full NCAA women’s basketball tournament schedule for the day, with all times Central, as always.
