Bears sweep Blue Raiders in Conference USA home opener series

SPRINGFIELD–For the second game in-a-row, the Missouri State offense scored double digit runs off Middle Tennessee State, which helped the Bears take Sunday’s series finale and earn a sweep in their first conference series at home. The two teams combined for 19 runs, on Sunday, but it was MO State’s 3-run outburst in the 7th-inning that propelled it to a 10-9 victory. Bryce Cerminelle and Taeg Gollert hit the only long balls of the game for MSU, while MTSU cracked three home runs.
