LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — In a high school basketball season full of stars, Madison Central’s Jake Feldhaus separated himself as the best, being named 2026 Mr. Kentucky Basketball on Sunday.
The six-foot-seven forward now joins the likes of Malachi Moreno and Reed Sheppard as recent winners of the highest honor in Kentucky high school basketball. The Belmont signee averaged 20. 7 points and 13 rebounds per game for the Indians, leading them to a 30-4 record and a district title.
Jake is the son of Kentucky Basketball legend Deron Feldhaus who was the Gatorade Player of the Year but was runner-up in Mr. Basketball to teammate John Pelphrey. “I feel like I’m kind of last in line and it was great to be able to achieve this and Gatorade {player of the year}.
