The Brewers were able to kick things off pretty early against touted lefty Jamie Arnold . Luis Pena singled to score Brewers top prospect Jesus Made . Blake Burke’s single made it 2-0 and a third run would be tacked on against Arnold via passed ball.
In the bottom of the 2nd, the A’s tied it right back up, starting with Joshua Kuroda-Grauer’s double which scored Junior Perez , followed by two RBI singles thanks to Shotaro Morii and Henry Botle. After the Brewers reclaimed the lead in the 3rd, Breyson Guedez put a charge in one, sending it deep and out for a two-run dinger. 5-4 A’s, then 7-4 A’s after Cole Conn ’s two-run shot!
On the pitching side, Kade Morris was brought in after a rough first three frames by Jamie Arnold and Eduarniel Nunez . But unlike his teammates, Morris was absolutely dominant. The proof?
