Mick Cronin got a technical foul in the second half of UCLA's bout against UConn, with the inciting incident seeming to be him clapping at the officials.
PHILADELPHIA, PA ā Mick Cronin won the battle against Dan Hurley over who would receive a technical foul first. The UCLA men's basketball coach was assessed a technical foul at the 4:41 mark of the second half of Sunday's Men's NCAA Tournament second-round game against 2-seed UConn at Xfinity Mobile Arena. It led to Huskies forward Alex Karaban making a pair of free throws that helped UConn build its lead up against UCLA.

"From what I'm looking at here just on its own, that doesn't look like something that would elevate to a technical foul," Steratore said.
"Now, I'm not sure if there's been something that's been building up previously. It doesn't appear that he's saying something verbally at that point. But you don't want to speculate, right?
