The SU legend is back, and it is a big next step for the program. For G-Mac himself, though, one of his biggest first steps could involve Sadiq White Jr. The uber-talented freshman just completed his first year with the Orange.
Whether or not McNamara can keep White around could be huge. Kiyan Anthony was the highest-profile freshman in this year's SU class, but he wasn't the best. White was a top-30 recruit in the Class of 2025 out of Charlotte, North Carolina by way of IMG Academy.
He flashed his talent at times as a freshman, but the overall numbers don't blow anybody away. White averaged 6. 1 points and 3.
