Oklahoma Sooners hit 5 home runs in 14-2 win over Ole Miss

The Oklahoma Sooners added to their historic home run total in a 14-2 win over the Ole Miss Rebels.

It was another powerful performance for the Oklahoma Sooners lineup in their 14-2 win over Ole Miss on Sunday night. The Sooners hit five home runs and jumped out to a 6-0 lead through their first two at-bats. They picked up right where they left off on Saturday night .

Kasidi Pickering got the game going with a leadoff walk and advanced on a wild pitch to get into scoring position. After Ella Parker walked, Pickering stole third on a strikeout. Isabela Emerling drove Pickering in on a groundout to make it 1-0.

Then Gabbie Garcia launched her 15th home run of the season, a two-run shot to make it 3-0 Sooners in the first. Kai Minor followed Garcia's bomb with a home run of her own, her fifth of the season, to give Oklahoma a 4-0 lead. Miali Guachino got the start against her former team and worked around a single and a walk with a pair of strikeouts to close out the inning and keep the Rebels off the board.

In the second, Pickering kept the offense going with a two-run home run to give the Sooners a 6-0 lead. It was Pickering's 13th of the season. The Rebels finally got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the second when Cassie Reasner hit a lead off solo home run off Guachino to make it 6-1.
