Indoor Football League: Orlando Pirates beat New Mexico Chupacabras in crazy back-and-forth game

Paxton DeLaurent threw for a pair of touchdowns and the Orlando Pirates got rushing TDs from four different players in a wild 41-38 victory over the New Mexico Chupacabras in Sunday night’s Indoor Football League game. The game was the season opener for both the Pirates and Chupacabras — and the first game ever for the New Mexico franchise — and it did not disappoint. The teams traded leads nine times.
Latavious Brini’s 2-yard TD late in the fourth quarter finally put the Pirates ahead to stay after New Mexico had taken the lead on the previous drive. Tykorian Brown threw for 158 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Chupacabras. Arthur Challenor caught two of those touchdowns and 104 yards total receiving.
Orlando won despite giving up a pair of safeties.
