‘It’ll really get going in April’ — Bayern Munich sporting director ready for the gauntlet
FC Bayern’s Champions League push is about to begin in earnest.

Not only the margin of the victory but the manner: the Bavarians positively breezed through this one, owning nearly all of the possession in the first half while giving up almost nothing going the other way for the entire game. A quick succession of goals — Michael Olise in the 43rd minute, Serge Gnabry in first-half stoppage time, and Harry Kane in the 49th minute — removed any threat of drama from the affair and let Bayern play with the ease of a training session. It was slightly more work than that, though.
“We turned in a really good display: we created a lot of chances and allowed little. It always looks easy in hindsight, but it was a very focused performance,” Bayern sporting director Freund said in comments captured by FCBayern. com .
“The lads are enjoying football and you can see that. It’s crucial to head into the international break in high spirits. We absolutely wanted to achieve that.
