Wyatt Johnston shatters the Dallas Stars' power-play goal record, solidifying his place in franchise history and aiming for 40 goals.

The Dallas Stars have been on notice that their franchise record for power-play goals in a single season was at risk for being broken by 22 year-old Wyatt Johnston for over a week now. Johnston tied that record on March 12, against the Edmonton Oilers. Since then, fans have been waiting for the Toronto native to score another goal on the man-advantage, as it was only a matter of time. AND THAT'S HISTORY FOR WYATT JOHNSTON!

Along with the new record, he has also topped his career high in goals, which he tallied last year at 33. His record breaking power-play goal was his 38th of the season. It is only game 70, so it's very likely the young Star could hit 40 goals in just his fourth season.
