Xander Schauffele is building momentum at exactly the right time ahead of The Masters. The American followed up his third-place finish at The Players Championship with another strong showing at the Valspar Championship.

But he has admitted that preparing for Augusta is far from straightforward. Xander Schauffele explains why preparing for The Masters is not easy Schauffele outlined a measured approach to the next few weeks, balancing rest with preparation ahead of the year’s first major. “Just relax, probably take a few days off into next week.

Then, kind of gear back up for Augusta,” he said. Despite his strong results, the 32-year-old is confident but aware there is still work to do. “I think so, yeah,” he added when asked if his game is in good shape.
