Mountain Kings edge Tomahawks in shootout

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The New Hampshire Mountain Kings battled back from a two-goal deficit and scored the only marker in the shootout to prevail 5-4 Saturday night at 1st Summit Arena @ Cambria County War Memorial. Each of the team's first three shooters were denied in the shootout.

New Hampshire's Jaden Johnson scored in the fourth round, then New Hampshire's Jason Cai provided a stop to win in front of 2,236 fans. Emerson Marshall gave Johnstown a 1-0 lead 2:47 into the first period. Sean Morgan and Sean Leetch assisted on the goal.

Justin Chiras added a power-play tally as the Tomahawks led 2-0. Charlie Zetterkvist and Sean Morgan provided assists. Aidan Petroff got New Hampshire on the board at the 9:59 mark.

Morgan scored on the power play with helpers going to Chiras and Ben Norris as Johnstown led 3-1. In the second, Petroff scored on the power play and Lucas Mann added an even-strength tally for a 3-all tie. Zetterkvist put Johnstown ahead 4-3 with assists going to Nick Metelkin and Norris.

Ronnie Hill tied the game with 17 seconds left. Johnstown outshot New Hampshire 37-27. Zack Ferris made 23 saves for the Tomahawks.
