The Los Angeles Rams love the team they’ve built. It helped them win 12 games and reach the NFC Conference Championship. But as general manager Les Snead knows, there’s clearly more work to be done.
Still, after just a four-point loss to the eventual Super Bowl champions, the Rams likely also feel they’re close to the ultimate goal again. They even have a head coach and starting quarterback who already know what it takes to win a Super Bowl. As the Rams continue building their quarterback room, which now consists of just Matthew Stafford and Stetson Bennett, they have to weigh whether they want more experience or upside at the position.
As a team that feels they’re strong contenders, the Rams may want something more proven. Recently, The Athletic ‘s Nate Atkins reported that the Rams “are interested in bringing back Jimmy Garoppolo . ” However, Atkins says that the “market for him is fluid.
” As expected, others are expected to have an interest in the two-time Super Bowl winner. Yet, the Rams may have the upper hand with the 34-year-old, considering he spent the past two seasons in Los Angeles mastering Sean McVay’s system. Though, maybe Garoppolo is tired of sitting on the bench.
