Alabama and Texas Tech meet Sunday night with a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line. Here is who the Roll Tide Wire staff picks to win.

After the Alabama Crimson Tide opened the NCAA Tournament on Friday with a 90-70 first round win over Hofstra, the road to the Final Four does is now set to take a step up in competition Sunday night. That is because Alabama is set to meet the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, a very talented opponent from the Big 12. Texas Tech is the No.

5 seeded team in the Midwest Region, and are coming off a 91-71 first round win over Akron. Alabama is the No. 4 seeded team in the Midwest Region, and will be playing for a chance to reach the Sweet 16 for the fourth consecutive season, while it will potentially be the second-straight for Texas Tech with a win.

Here is a look at who the Roll Tide Wire staff predicts to win Alabama vs. Texas Tech, as well as by how much. Matt Melton's prediction: Alabama Crimson Tide 83, Texas Tech Red Raiders 80 Texas Tech is certain to be one of Alabama's toughest tests yet this season, and this is a matchup that will likely be close throughout between the Crimson Tide and Red Raiders.

I'll go with Alabama to win by a very slim margin due to yet another big performance from Labaron Philon. Steve Holley's prediction: Alabama Crimson Tide 85, Texas Tech Red Raiders 82 Alabama cannot afford to get off to another slow start as it did against Hofstra. Falling behind by 10 points isn't insurmountable against a 13 seed, but against a Texas Tech squad that has four players averaging double figures a night and is capable of shooting from the 3-point line?
