The City of Lincoln 10k, hosted by Jane Tomlinson's Run for All, will take place on 12 April, starting at 10:00 BST on Riseholme Road in Lincoln. According to Becky Major, the company's head of marketing and communications, more than 4,000 people have already signed up, surpassing 2025's total.
Major said: "We've had an amazing response so far for 2026. We are still looking to encourage people to sign up. " She added: "It is a great day for the runners but it's the spectators, it's the volunteers, just everybody coming together to make it a really great event.
" Major said the event was for anyone looking to get a personal best, fundraise for a charity, or those who just want to run with friends. "We hear some really inspiring stories from everybody taking part," she said. "We encourage all those who can to fundraise for a charity or a cause close to their heart but equally some people just want to run and take part as well.
" Organisers said there were small changes to the route this year to make it more accessible to those in wheelchairs. Entrants must be aged 15 or over on event day and those crossing the finishing line will get a goody bag and a medal.
