Nebraska concluded its series with Michigan State on Saturday in a doubleheader. The Huskers swept the Spartans to take the series.

Nebraska softball (24-5, 6-0) concluded its series with Michigan State on Saturday in an afternoon doubleheader. The Huskers swept the Spartans to sweep the series, winning 13-0 in six and 4-1. Nebraska started the day with a massive shutout win, earning 16 hits.

Michigan State finished with one after Alexis Jensen (11-2) pitched a complete-game shutout and throwing seven strikeouts. Kacie Hoffmann finished career-high 4-for-4, tallying two RBIs. Jordy Frahm and Jensen earned three RBIs each, with Frahm snatching all three on a home-run shot in the sixth.

Samantha Bland picked up two RBIs after batting 2-for-4. Jesse Farrell also picked up two hits and earned one RBI. The Huskers continued the day by picking up their 13th straight win.

Michigan State did tie the game at 1-1 in the second, but Nebraska quickly broke the tie in the third with a solo home run from Farrell. Hannah Coor drove in an RBI single later in the inning to extend the lead, and Ava Kuszak logged an RBI single in the seventh. Coor finished a season-high 4-for-4 to lead the Huskers, and Kuszak batted 3-for-4.
