Three takeaways from LSU baseball's Saturday loss to Oklahoma
LSU had a 3-1 lead in the eighth inning, but an infield error doomed the Tigers as they lost the game 4-3 and lost the season series to Oklahoma.
LSU baseball faced Oklahoma with the Tigers looking for their first SEC series win of the year. The Tigers felt good about their chances on Sunday with Jay Johnson handing the ball to William Schmidt. Johnson made some lineup adjustments, too.
It wasn't enough and the Tigers dropped Game 3 on Sunday with a 4-2 score and OU took two of three from LSU in Baton Rouge. Schmidt had a solid game. He pitched four full innings and gave up only one run on six hits, seven strikeouts, and two walks.
