Galatasary Keeping It Classy With Conspiracy Theories And Racism Denial
The Turkish club call the racist abuse Konate received a diversion from the real issue at hand: a freak injury.

While some have more malice than others, the two injuries to Galatasaray players at Anfield last Wednesday were purely incidental. Still, that did not stop angry Galatasaray fans from seeking out Ibou Konate’s social media accounts and spouting racist abuse at him after his coming together with Victor Osimhen, which left the striker with an apparent arm fracture.
This, however, is just a distraction according to Galatasaray General Secretary Eray Yazgan. The real issue, according to him, is the even more random and non-malicious injury to Noa Lang after getting his thumb caught in an advertising board. “Liverpool has not offered a single apology to our club or our player.
This is unacceptable. This silence and disregard for responsibility is an attempt to cover up the incident,” Yazgan said. “While Liverpool hasn’t even apologized, they are now trying to divert attention by bringing up imaginary statements they claim were made on social media against their player Ibrahima Konate.
