Steelers disrespected in latest free agency evaluations

Fox Sports recently took aim at the Pittsburgh Steelers following their impressive free agency haul.

With the Pittsburgh Steelers kicking off the new league year with a bang, many would assume it would be impossible not to give credit where credit is due. Well, they'd be wrong โ€” at least if you ask Fox Sports. Earlier in the week, Fox Sports' Ben Arthur rated each NFL team's free agency haul and whether they've gotten "better" or "worse.

" Although the Steelers brought in Michael Pittman Jr. at receiver, Jamel Dean at cornerback, Rico Dowdle at running back, and Jaquan Brisker at safety, Arthur argued the Steelers were worse. "Rico Dowdle is an upgrade over Kenneth Gainwell in the backfield, and the addition of Michael Pittman Jr.

gives the Steelers a much-needed running mate to pair with DK Metcalf at receiver," Arthur wrote . "But you canโ€™t say Pittsburgh is better off, as it remains in quarterback limbo. Thereโ€™s been no update on Aaron Rodgers, and the available QB options arenโ€™t promising, either.

" While Arthur is right to be concerned over the quarterback situation in Pittsburgh, it's tough to take any criticism against the Steelers' 2026 free agency haul seriously. Hopefully, Rodgers, who was just spotted at a flag football tournament with Steelers QB Will Howard, can officially announce his return to Pittsburgh sooner rather than later so the team can get the proper respect they deserve after an exciting past couple of weeks.
