Vote for Montgomery Advertiser's Boys Athlete of the Week for March 14-20 presented by the Vance Law Firm

It's time to vote for the Montgomery Advertiser's boys Athlete of the Week , presented by the Vance Law Firm for the week of March 15-20 . Voting will open Sunday, March 22 and will be open until noon Thursday, March 26 . The winner will be announced on Friday, March 27.

Nominees are based off of top performers that are sent in by high school coaches or statisticians. Coaches and team stat keepers can send in stats to sports@montgomeryadvertiser. com to nominate players.

Montgomery Advertiser's Boys Athlete of the Week nominees presented by Vance Law Firm for March 14-20 Opp's Baylor Turman hit a grand slam in a 10-0 win against New Brockton on Thursday. Turman was 2-for-4 with a single, four RBIs and two runs scored. Montgomery Academy's Reid McBride went 3-for-4 with six RBIs, including a grand slam, and was also the winning pitcher, throwing five innings and allowing one hit while striking out five batters in a 13-2 win against Father Ryan, Tennessee, in the second day of play at the Gulf Coast Classic.

Montgomery Academy's Kingston Nelson was 2-for-3 with two RBIs in a 12-4 win against Ashland, Oklahoma, in its second game of the day at the Gulf Coast Classic. Opp's Talan Wicker was 2-for-3 with two singles and a run scored in Thursday's win against New Brocton.
