Vote for Montgomery Advertiser's Girls Athlete of the Week for March 14-20 presented by the Vance Law Firm

It's time to vote for the Montgomery Advertiser's girls Athlete of the Week, presented by the Vance Law Firm for the week of March 14-20. Voting will open Sunday, March 22, and will be open until noon Thursday, March 26. The winner will be announced on Friday, March 27.

Nominees are based off of top performers that are sent in by high school coaches or statisticians. Coaches and team stat keepers can send in stats to sports@montgomeryadvertiser. com to nominate players.

Montgomery Advertiser's Girls Athlete of the Week nominees presented by Vance Law Firm for March 14-20 Montgomery Catholic's Hannah Smith was voted MVP and played 22 minutes in the Alabama vs. Mississippi All-Star game in Clinton, Mississippi, on Saturday, ending the game with a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds. Nine of her rebounds were defensive.

Smith was 5-of-10 from the field, making 2-of-4 baskets attempted from 3-point range. She had one assist, one turnover and one steal. Smith and her Alabama teammates won the game 93-65.
