Warriors drop third straight with 126-110 loss vs. Hawks

The Golden State Warriors' rough patch continued on Saturday night with a stop in Atlanta for the fifth game of their current six-game road swing. After keeping the game close for the first half, trailing by only two points at halftime, the Atlanta Hawks opened things up against the short-handed Warriors with a dominant third quarter. Veteran guard CJ McCollum caught fire in the third quarter, scoring 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting.
Behind McCollum, the Hawks outscored the Hawks 39-20 in the third quarter, taking a 21-point lead into the fourth and final frame. In the fourth quarter, Dyson Daniels and the Hawks wrapped up a 126-110 blowout win over the Warriors. The Warriors have now lost three straight, including eight losses in their last 10 games.
Each loss on the Warriors' three-game losing streak has been by 14 or more points. Daniels led the Hawks with a game-high 28 points on 12-of-17 shooting from the field with seven boards, six assists and four steals in 32 minutes. McCollum finished with 23 points in 29 minutes against the Warriors.
Saturday marked the highly anticipated reunion between the Warriors and Jonathan Kuminga. For the first time since being traded at the deadline, Kuminga suited up against his former team. The former Golden State lottery pick was quiet on Saturday, scoring just two points on 1-of-9 shooting with four rebounds, two assists and a steal in 22 minutes off the bench.
