After the Huskers got their first-ever NCAA Tournament over Troy, the follow-up was a lot sweeter. The 4th-seeded Big Ten team came into the matchup with No. 5 Vanderbilt with one of the most underrated toe-to-toe contests in front of them.
And both teams made sure it was an instant classic. After trading buckets and the lead throughout the second half, Nebraska took a 74-72 lead with two seconds left. Out of the timeout, Vanderbilt drew up a prayer from beyond half court that started to go in before coming out.
The moment drew instant buzz on social media, including the official March Madness X account who shared the play. OH MY GOODNESS THAT ALMOST WENT IN! ๐คฏ NEBRASKA HOLDS ON ๐ฑ #MarchMadness @HuskerMBB pic.
