Player grades: Undermanned 76ers earn gritty win over Jazz on the road
The undermanned version of the Philadelphia 76ers earn a gritty win over the Utah Jazz on the road.
The Philadelphia 76ers paid a visit to the Utah Jazz on Saturday night looking to earn a much-needed win to finish their 3-game road trip. The Sixers had a chance to get a 2-1 road trip following the tough night in Denver to begin the trip and the lowly Jazz offered a great opportunity for Philadelphia. The Sixers had their issues with a scrappy Jazz team, but they were able to eventually walk away with a 126-116 win over the Jazz and head home with some momentum.
Philadelphia was able to earn the win despite Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Kelly Oubre Jr. continuing to be sidelined. The Sixers were led by Quentin Grimes who had 25 points and five rebounds, VJ Edgecombe had 22 points and career-high 13 rebounds, and Trendon Watford had 20 points and nine rebounds.
Adem Bona added 16 points and Cam Payne had 16 and seven assists. Here are the player grades following the win: VJ Edgecombe: A The rookie had some impressive buckets in this one.
