After a 2-2 draw in November, Bayern Munich likely wanted another piece of the Iron Ones — and they got a big chunk with a 4-0 victory. The focus and energy was there was from the outset for the German Rekordmeister as the squad avoided the same flat start it had in Berlin in 2025. Harry Kane timed a perfect run and split the center-backs int he 9th minute, but just could not get the ball in.

A minute later, impressive youngster Leopold Querfeld stopped a driving Michael Olise to thwart a threat. Union Berlin stuck to its gameplan and was compact, but Bayern Munich was much more brave with its dribbling and stretching the field. Both tactics to combat the packed in setup were very effective.
