Vanderbilt basketball's Tyler Tanner nearly made a 60-footer at the buzzer to win over Nebraska in March Madness.
Tyler Tanner was *this* close to hitting the greatest shot in NCAA Tournament history and sending Vanderbilt basketball to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2007. Tanner's 60-foot heave at the buzzer rattled in and out in a last-chance effort to beat Nebraska on March 21 in Oklahoma City. The Cornhuskers held on to win 74-72 over Vanderbilt in the Men's NCAA Tournament second round, by the margin of the shaking rim.

I'm still shaking," Nebraska coach Fred Hoiberg said to TNT in his first comments after the game. Tanner had 27 points, leading the Commodores back from a halftime deficit in front of a Nebraska-heavy crowd to take the lead in the final minutes.
But Nebraska's Braden Frager scored the go-ahead basket on a driving layup with 2. 2 seconds left. After a Vandy timeout, the Commodores set up a full-court play for Tanner.
