How sweet it is for Michigan State basketball. The Spartans didn't play particularly great, but they made enough plays to knock off No. 6 seed Louisville and advance to the Sweet 16 for a second straight season.
Michigan State led throughout the game, never trailing in the second half, en route to a 77-69 victory over the Cardinals. Michigan State got impressive performances from a number of different players, but none were bigger than Coen Carr. He finished the game with 21 points and 10 rebounds, and also posted incredible defensive play on the other end of the floor as well.
Jeremy Fears Jr. was also impressive with 12 points and 16 assists in the victory. Michigan State will now move on to the Sweet 16 and play the winner of No.
2 seed UConn and No. 7 seed UCLA on Friday. That matchup will be in Washington, D.
