Warriors' Stephen Curry set for major checkpoint in injury recovery
According to Steve Kerr, Golden State Warriors star, Stephen Curry will participated in a scrimmage on Sunday, March 22.
Stephen Curry has missed the Golden State Warriors' last 20 games due to injury. However, after recently being re-evaluated by the team's medical staff, the veteran guard is expected to ramp up his on-court work as a return to the court draws closer. When speaking to the media on Saturday, March 21, head coach Steve Kerr added to that update by noting that Curry is scheduled to take part in a scrimmage on Sunday, March 22.
That scrimmage will be a key marker in Curry's recovery and a big step toward being medically cleared to return to the rotation. "He's going to play (scrimmage) tomorrow morning here, before we go to Dallas," Kerr said, via ESPN's Anthony Slater. "So there will be whatever players and coaches who are available to play.
And Rick (Rick Celebrini) will evaluate him. And that's the next step. I think 5 on 5.
That's the plan. Don't quote me on that. We would like for it to be five on five, but that's going to be determined by Rick.
