Game 36: Vanderbilt Commodores vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers

Vanderbilt can tie the school’s wins record tonight.

OKLAHOMA CITY - MARCH 20: A general view of the opening tipoff between the Kansas Jayhawks and the Northern Iowa Panthers during the second round of the 2010 NCAA men's basketball tournament at Ford Center on March 20, 2010 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. (Photo by Chris Chambers/Getty Images) | Getty Images Vanderbilt is 27-8 this season, and a win tonight would tie the 1992-93 team for the school’s single-season wins record. Nebraska, tonight’s opponent, has already set its own single-season school wins record and, for the first time in school history, is in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Oklahoma City site was heavily pro-Nebraska on Thursday. Will that hold with a single session where Texas A&M and Houston are playing in the first game? I don’t know.

Vanderbilt, in spite of being the lower-seeded team, is a slight favorite in this one. Tipoff is at roughly 7:45 PM CT, or about half an hour after Texas A&M-Houston wraps up, and you can watch on TNT. Anchor Down.
