Adidas Polynesian Bowl Combine Recruiting Intel: Latest notes on 2027-2029 standouts
LAS VEGAS — The 2026 Adidas Polynesian Bowl National Combine & Showcase returned to Bishop Gorman High School over the weekend. Several of the top recruits in the country from the class of ’27, ’28 and even ’29 were on hand to compete in hopes of earning an invite to the 2027 Adidas Polynesian Bowl. Here’s some of the latest recruiting news and notes we picked up following the event.
– Salt Lake (Utah) West quarterback Kamden Lopati was one of the highest rated players in the event, checking in as the No. 122 player nationally in the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services. Lopati is a longtime Illinois commitment but said he does plan to take several un-official visits this spring and a handful of official trips as well.
His unofficial visit schedule starts with Note Dame April 4 followed by trips to Florida April 7 and Michigan April 11. Georgia, who just offered, could get an unofficial visit as well but nothing is set up yet. His first official visit will be to Cal on June 12 and he’s also set an official trip to Illinois.
Notre Dame, who Lopati said is the childhood favorite, should also get an official visit but the two sides still need to work out a date. – Detroit Catholic Central (Mich. ) athlete Gideon Gash was another headliner and currently rated the No.
97 player nationally in the Rivals Industry Ranking. Gosh told us he has a top six led by Oklahoma , Texas Tech , Michigan State , Indiana , Alabama and LSU . Gash’s most recent visit was to Oklahoma for the Sooners, ‘Future Freak,’ event and he raved about his time in Norman.
