The University of North Carolina was bounced from the tournament Thursday by mid-major, VCU. A feat that has become a reoccurring theme as of late in Chapel Hill. The team held a 19-point lead before being forced into overtime and ultimately losing in the closing seconds of the extra period Tar Heels head coach Hubert Davis holds a career record of 125-54 in his five years with the program.

According to CBS Sports' Matt Norlander , Davis' "future is in doubt. UNC AD Bubba Cunningham texts decision will be made in the coming days. " He added, "Boosters are privately saying they've lost faith in the program under Davis moving forward.
