Auburn women's basketball redshirt freshman Arek Angui has announced her plans to enter the transfer portal, via Talia Goodman of On3. One of the tallest players in college women's basketball at 6-foot-9, Angui only saw the floor in 20 games this season, averaging 1. 4 points per game, 2.
6 rebounds per game, and 10 blocks. She only took 34 total shots from the previous season. The redshirt freshman transferred in from the University of Central Florida after just appearing in three games for the Knights in the 2024-25 season.
Angui redshirted that season; she will have three years of eligibility moving forward with her collegiate career. She is the second to announce their plans to enter the transfer portal after one year on the Plains; she joins Harissoum Coulibaly in entering the portal. Another young piece lost to the portal for first-year head coach Larry Vickers.
