Florida softball wins annual Yellow Game and ties a three-game series against Tennessee.

Game 2 between No. 1 Tennessee (28-2, 6-2 SEC) and No. 5 Florida (30-2, 7-1 SEC) was contested Saturday at Katie Seashole Pressly Softball Stadium in Gainesville, Florida.

The Gators tied the three-game series with a, 5-2, win. Saturday marked Florida's annual Yellow Game, honoring children who are battling cancer and remembering those who lost their fights. Yellow represents the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation's efforts to fund research and eliminate childhood cancer.

Florida student-athletes wore sunflowers in their hair in remembrance of Heather Braswell. On Saturday, Erin Nuwer started for the Lady Vols and pitched 1. 1 innings.

She totaled 35 pitches (14 strikes) against nine batters, while allowing two hits, two runs (one earned), three walks and one wild pitch before being relieved by Karlyn Pickens in the second inning. Pickens allowed three runs (three earned), three hits (two home runs) and one wild pitch in one inning. She did not record a strikeout and totaled 24 pitches, including 14 strikes, against seven batters before being replaced Nuwer.
