Next Gen Stats gives the 49ers the highest probability of taking a tackle or a receiver.

The San Francisco 49ers have been aggressive this offseason, making several splashes in free agency to keep their championship window wide open. However, after a divisional round exit in 2025, the team still holds the No. 27 overall pick, a spot John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan can use to add a final piece to an already loaded roster.

While San Francisco has several paths they could take, NFL Next Gen Stats has narrowed down the probabilities for who the 49ers will target. Based on the latest data from Grinding the Mocks , NGS predicts a high likelihood that the 49ers will land either Utah offensive tackle Caleb Lomu (20%) or Texas A&M wide receiver K. C.

Concepcion (13%) in the first round. Selecting Lomu would be a clear move for the future. While the 49ers recently signed Vederian Lowe and expect legend Trent Williams back for 2026, the depth on the edges remains a priority.

Lomu, a 6-foot-6 redshirt sophomore, is considered one of the most explosive athletes in the class. His elite movement skills make him a perfect fit for Shanahanโ€™s zone-blocking scheme, offering a high-upside developmental tackle who could eventually anchor the line. Concepcion, on the other hand, would give the 49ers offense another incredible offensive weapon.
