North Carolina AD Weighs In On Hubert Davis Speculation

There has been much speculation surrounding Davis’s future after back-to-back first-round exits in the NCAA Tournament. “Every year at the end of the season, it’s important to evaluate all facets of the program and look for ways to improve,” Cunningham said via text message. “The Chancellor, Steve and I are doing that together now and will continue to have discussions over the coming days.
” North Carolina would owe Davis $5. 312 million if it fired him on April 1, according to records reviewed by the New York Post , which also reported the coach’s base salary is $1. 25 million.
He earned an additional $1. 8 million through supplemental income. His contract runs through June 30, 2030.
