Tre Donaldson, a former Auburn and Michigan guard, scored 17 points to lead Miami to a win over Missouri in the NCAA Tournament.

Former Auburn and Michigan guard Tre Donaldson is making an impact in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament once again. On Friday night, Donaldson scored 17 points to help lead the Miami Hurricanes to an 80-66 win over Missouri in the first round of March Madness. Donaldson was a big reason for the Hurricanes' turnaround this season.

Miami went from winning just seven games last season to now having 26 victories with an improvement of 19 games. Donaldson is second on the team in scoring with 16. 5 points per game and leads the team in minutes played with an average of 33.

9. He had a big season for Miami, including a 32-point performance in mid-February versus Virginia Tech. He was clutch in the Hurricanesโ€™ win over Missouri on Friday night.

With the Hurricanes down 51-49 Donaldson knocked down a 24-foot three-pointer to give them a 52-51 lead with 8:50 remaining in the game. Later in the half, with Miami up 65-60, he hit another three-point shot to extend the lead to 68-60. Finally, Donaldson hit a three-point score to create some distance with 1:37 remaining to give the Hurricanes 74-62.
