WSL round-up: Big wins for Man City and Arsenal Saturday lunchtime served up some thrilling games with big wins for Arsenal and Manchester City while Manchester United left it late. We'll begin with league leaders Manchester City who romped to victory at home to Tottenham Hotspur, who were a potential banana skin in the final run-in. However, it proved to be all too easy for the Citizens with Bunny Shaw essentially wrapping up the win with a hat-trick inside the first 21 minutes.

Kerolin and an Amanda Nildén own goal meant it was 5-1 going into half-time with Olivia Holdt netting for the visitors. Beth England did reduce the deficit for Spurs late on by that point it was far too late for any hope of a comeback. Another team who bagged five today was Arsenal.

West Ham United had put up stubborn resistance against Manchester United midweek but they were undone inside just four minutes by Stina Blackstenius . A fine second-half performance saw Alessia Russo , a Chloe Kelly brace, and Beth Mead make it 5-0. Over to Greater Manchester, a depleted Red Devils side had taken a 1-0 goal lead against Everton with Elisabeth Terland finding the net.

The Toffees looked like they'd snatched a point late on though when substitute Inma Gabarro headed in from close range. With the seconds ticking down 16-year-old Layla Drury won a corner for his side which Jess Park swung in. Melvine Malard got there ahead of Courtney Brosnan to make it 2-1 at the death.

Of the top four teams in action today, one did drop points. Chelsea were the visiting team against London City Lionesses and were leading until the 82nd minute after Johanna Kaneryd had put her side ahead in the 22nd minute. That was until Isobel Goodwin pounced late on to see the points shared.
