According to a post on social media, former NFL wide receiver T. Y. Hilton has decided to retire from the league after 11 seasons, 10 of which was spent with Indianapolis.

"After an incredible journey, it's time for me to retire from the game of football and begin a new chapter," Hilton wrote on X . "Thank you to Mr. Irsay, his family and the entire Colts organization for believing in a kid from Miami and giving me the opportunity to live out my dream wearing the horseshoe.

"I also want to thank the Cowboys organization for giving me the opportunity to continue playing the game I love. " Initially drafted in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft, Hilton was one of the better wide receivers in the NFL over his decade with the Colts. In that span, Hilton tallied four Pro Bowl selections and five 1,000-yard seasons, including a 2016 campaign that saw him lead the league with 1,448 receiving yards.
