Former Notre Dame CB retires, will start new career in South Bend

Yahoo Sports

Former Notre Dame cornerback Isaiah Dunn has found his calling, on the other side of the mic as he’s taken a job with WNDU as a sports reporter.

It’s always interesting what Notre Dame players will do following their playing days, and we found out that a former walk-on will start his new career close to his playing one. Cornerback Isaiah Dunn didn’t really have a future in professional football, and decided that he still wanted to stay in the sports world and took a job with WNDU as a reporter and anchor. He saw the field just once a year over the last three seasons, and quickly made a move to start his post-football career.

You have to believe that Dunn with be in Notre Dame locker rooms during his tenure with WNDU, as there is a big focus on Irish athletics. This won’t be the last time we hear his name, as he interned with ESPN and has been a guest who interviewed his head coach Marcus Freeman along with hosting “That’s How It’s Dunn” for the official Notre Dame football social media site. I’m excited to announce that I will be joining WNDU as a Sports Reporter & Anchor.

I’m so beyond grateful for the opportunity to stay and contribute in a new way. Looking forward to telling meaningful stories and growing in this next chapter. pic.
