Nebraska falters late in 67-62 loss to Baylor in NCAA Tournament

Nebraska women's basketball (19-13) entered the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday after defeating Richmond in the First Four on Wednesday. The No. 11 Huskers faced No.
6 Baylor (25-8) in the first round, but could not produce another win, falling 67-62. Once again, it came down to the fourth for Nebraska, which held a six-point lead after the third quarter. The Bears outscored the Huskers 26-15 in the fourth.
This marks Nebraska's 10th loss of the season, where it was within two possessions heading into the final six minutes. The Huskers finished the game with 22 fouls and 15 turnovers. In the fourth quarter alone, Baylor , through strong pressure, forced six turnovers and eight fouls.
On the day, the Bears shot 21-of-29 from the free-throw line and scored 18 points off turnovers. Nebraska scored 23 points off turnovers, but just 13-of-15 from the line. Baylor also controlled the boards, outrebounding the Huskers 43-33.
