More bad news for a top 2026 NFL Draft wide receiver

If healthy, Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson probably goes in the top 10. Potentially more bad news for his draft stock.

There's a good chance the Washington Commanders will use the No. 7 overall pick in next month's 2026 NFL Draft on a wide receiver. After missing out on Alec Pierce and Romeo Doubs in free agency, general manager Adam Pierce has made it clear the position is a priority.

The Commanders signed Dyami Brown and Van Jefferson in free agency. Both will provide depth and are not even guaranteed to make the 53-man roster. Those signings were to ensure the receiver position, from top to bottom, is in a better spot than it was in 2025.

Washington still needs a starter opposite Terry McLaurin. There's a good chance that the Commanders eventually acquire Brandon Aiyuk when the 49ers inevitably move on from him. That may not happen until June , though.

Does Washington want to take the chance that some team actually gives San Francisco a pick for Aiyuk and his contract? It doesn't seem possible, but never say never. Back to the draft.
