It was a tough night inside Blue Bell Park, as Texas A&M dropped its first SEC game of the season in Bryan-College Station against Georgia , 9-4, in Game 1 on Friday. The Bulldogs' bats were on fire in the win over the Aggies , as they notched nine runs on 15 hits against the Maroon and White. Georgia also slugged three home runs in the contest, one of which was a three-run shot from third baseman Henry Allen in the first inning.
While the Aggies struggled to find a rhythm on the mound in Game 1, left-handed Shane Sdao still recorded a career-high 11 strikeouts in 5. 2 innings pitched. Texas A&M and Georgia were forced to burn through 10 total pitchers in the series opener, but the Aggies' lineup left nine runners on base and grounded out into two double plays against the Bulldogs.
