12 seed Colorado State to advance to the second round of the NCAA tournament. The game was tied going into the fourth quarter, but Michigan State was able to pull off the narrow win by the final score of 65-62. Michigan State got impressive performances from Grace VanSlooten and Kennedy Blair with 18 points each.
VanSlooten also grabbed 10 rebounds to record a double-double. Jalyn Brown also reached double figures in scoring with 13 points. Michigan State will move on to the second round of the NCAA Tournament and play next on Sunday.
The Spartans will play the winner of No. 4 seed Oklahoma and No. 13 seed Idaho.
